We are now seeking an EU Medical Director to provide their clinical insights on a strategic and hands on basis. This is a high-visibility EU regional role, offering the opportunity to shape medical strategy end-to-end and to be deeply involved in exciting pre-launch activities, working closely with global and European teams.

About the Role
As EU Medical Director (anti-fungal), you will hold overall regional medical accountability for a anti-fungal product. You will collaborate closely with the cross-functional team for the development of the EU Medical Strategic Plan for this asset, co-lead EU brand initiatives, and ensure medical excellence from early-planning through to launch and lifecycle management.
- Coordinating development of the EU regional medical strategic plan for the asset
- Driving pre-launch medical activities
- Providing strategic guidance and insight to affiliate medical teams
- Leverage existing networks and build strong European KOL relationships
- Strong advocacy for Shionogi EU in cross-functional meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing studies, RWE, IIR and early access programs
- Providing expert input into commercial and regulatory strategy
- Ensuring EFPIA and local code compliance
- Representing Shionogi at key scientific congresses
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a credible, strategic medical leader with demonstrable experience in the invasive fungal infection therapy area.
You will have:
- A Medical Doctor (MD) qualification
- Essential clinical experience in managing patients with fungal infections and/or industry experience in the anti-fungal therapy area
- Regional or above-country Medical Affairs experience within a pharmaceutical company
- Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional skills
- Evidence for existing network and experience working with KOLs in fungal infections
- Excellent English communication skills
- High integrity and commitment to ethical medical practice
